How Do I Make My AI Hub Live?
There's no single publish button. Your AI Hub is live for a member when three things are true: the hub is Active (the default), its journeys are published, and that member has access.
New creators often look for a Publish button on the hub itself. There isn't one — and that's by design. Going live in OBIE is three independent switches, and it helps to know where each lives.
1. The hub is Published
In your hub's General settings there's a Published toggle, on by default. Think of it as the master power switch: when it's off, the hub is disabled and nobody can sign in. On your AI Hubs list, each hub shows an Active or Inactive pill so you can see this at a glance.
2. Your journeys are published
The builder creates journeys, milestones, and steps as drafts. On your hub's home page, each journey carries a status — Draft, Published, or Work in progress. Open a journey and select Publish — the dialog lists exactly which draft items will go live, so there are no surprises. Members only ever see published journeys.
3. The member has access
Live doesn't mean public. OBIE hubs are invitation-based: only people you've given access can sign in. Add them on your hub's Users page, import a CSV, or let an offer grant access automatically — the details are in Add Members and Control Who Can Access Your AI Hub.
Where your hub lives
Your hub's address is the subdomain you chose — yourname.obie.io. You can change that subdomain or rename the hub any time from Hub Settings → General (how renaming and URL changes work). Prefer your own domain, like learn.acme.com? Set it up under Hub Settings → Advanced → Custom Domain (full walkthrough).
Check it yourself
The surest way to confirm everything is live: select Preview as User from your hub's home page. You'll be signed in as a member and see exactly what they see — published journeys only, your branding, your domain.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I unpublish a journey after it's live?
- Yes. Open the journey and change its status back to Draft. Members who already started it keep their progress, but it disappears from the hub for everyone.
- Do members get notified when I publish a journey?
- No. Publishing makes the journey visible in the hub, but OBIE doesn't send a notification automatically. Use your welcome email or another channel to let members know.
- Can I undo making my hub inactive?
- Yes — check the Active box again in General settings. The hub comes back immediately, and members can sign in again right away.
