Connect a Custom Domain to Your AI Hub

You can serve your AI Hub from your own domain — like learn.acme.com or acme.com — instead of the default .obie.io subdomain. The setup is three moves: add the domain in OBIE, create the one DNS record OBIE shows you at your domain registrar, then select Verify. When the status reads Verified, your hub answers on your domain.

Add your domain in OBIE

1. Open your hub and select Hub Settings, then Custom Domain under Advanced.

2. In Domain, enter the apex domain (acme.com) or a subdomain (learn.acme.com) you own. Don't include https:// or a trailing slash.

3. Select Add Domain.

Your domain now appears with a status of Pending verification, and OBIE shows the exact DNS record you need.

Create the DNS record

Sign in wherever your domain's DNS is managed — your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains) or your DNS provider (Cloudflare, Route 53) — and add the record OBIE displays. Each value has a copy button, so copy rather than retype.

• For an apex domain (acme.com), you'll add an A record with Name @ and the IP address shown.
• For a subdomain (learn.acme.com), you'll add a CNAME record with Name set to the subdomain label (learn) and the target shown.

Some domains also need an extra ownership check. If OBIE shows an Ownership verification required panel, add that TXT record too — enter the host exactly as shown, relative to your DNS zone, since most providers append the domain automatically. Each record is labelled Found in DNS or Not found in DNS so you can see whether your change has landed.

Verify

Once your records are saved, come back to OBIE and select Verify. The status moves through Pending verification to Generating SSL — OBIE is issuing the HTTPS certificate — and then to Verified.

DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to reach everywhere, so a domain that isn't verified in the first few minutes usually just needs more time. Leave the records in place and select Verify again later. A status of Error means the records don't match what OBIE expects — recheck the type, name, and value against the panel.

After it's verified

Once verified, your domain becomes the hub's public address: links OBIE puts in welcome and notification emails, and your hub's offer pages, use it. The .obie.io subdomain keeps working too, so nothing you've already shared breaks.

To go back, select Remove. Your hub becomes reachable only at its subdomain again, and you can re-add the domain later.

Check it

Open your domain in a private browser window. You should land on your hub's sign-in page with your branding and a padlock in the address bar. If you see a registrar parking page instead, DNS hasn't propagated yet.
