Customize a Journey

Customize a journey's name, welcome content, appearance, completion popup, and visibility from its Settings page. Content has two tabs: Welcome & Explanation and Completion.

Open the journey's settings

1. Open your AI Hub, then open the journey you want to change.
2. Select Settings.
3. Use General to update the Journey Name. If you've renamed Journeys in your hub, the field uses your custom label.

The Published toggle is also under General. Turn it on to publish this journey or off to hide it as a draft, then save your changes.

Welcome & Explanation

Open Settings → Content → Welcome & Explanation to shape what users see when they arrive:

• Journey Description: a short description for the journey's cards and pages.
• Explainer Title: the heading for its explainer section.
• Explainer Content: formatted text that explains the journey's purpose and what users will achieve.
• Explainer Image / Video: choose Image to upload an image, or Video URL to add a hosted video's link.
• Explainer layout: choose Side by side or Stacked. Stacked displays the media at full width.
• Explainer media position: with Stacked, choose Above text or Below text.

The description and explainer are separate. Use the description for a quick overview and the explainer for the introduction users need before starting.

Completion

Open Settings → Content → Completion to customize the journey-completion popup. Turn on Completion dialog to show it when the automatic completion flow selects this level, or turn it off to suppress the dialog without stopping progress from saving.

• Completion Title and Completion Message: your congratulations and next-step guidance. Leave them blank to use OBIE's defaults.
• Completion Icon and Completion Color: choose the dialog's appearance, including an uploaded image instead of an icon.
• Celebration: choose None, Confetti, Fireworks, Balloons, or Flying hearts.
• Video Link: add a hosted video for users to watch in the dialog.
• Button: add a label and a destination, either a live Offer page in this AI Hub or another link. You can include Note Heading and Note Text, and choose whether the normal Continue action appears alongside your button.

Use Dialog preview to check your changes. You can include values such as {{journeyName}} and {{hubName}} in the title or message so names stay in sync.

With the completing Step set to Automatic, OBIE uses the AI Hub-completion dialog at the final Milestone of the final Journey rather than this Journey's dialog. Customize that separately in Hub Settings → Content → Completion.

An individual Step can also show its own completion popup even when it isn't the last Step in the Milestone. Step Settings → Completion → Custom dialog replaces the automatic Milestone, Journey, or AI Hub dialog for that completion; Off suppresses all dialogs for that Step.

Appearance and visibility

Open Settings → Customize to change the journey's icon, color, and background. Turn on Customize background to set your own color, gradient, or image. Unset background fields inherit from the hub. To use your own image instead of an icon, open the icon picker and select Upload image.

To return to the inherited background, turn off Customize background and confirm Use inherited if prompted. This immediately removes the journey's custom background.

Open Settings → Visibility to control when the journey appears to users. You can use conditions such as dates, tags, active offers, and completed steps. See How Visibility Rules Work.

Save and check

Select Preview to check the appearance, then Save Pending Edits to save your changes. If other settings sections also have unsaved changes, choose whether to save only this section or Save ALL Pending Changes.

Saving welcome or completion content doesn't turn on Published for you. Use General's Published toggle, or the journey listing's Publish action, which can publish its draft milestones and steps too. Users also need access to the hub. See How Do I Make My AI Hub Live?.
