AI Hubs, Journeys, Milestones, and Steps: OBIE's Building Blocks

Getting Started

An AI Hub is your branded member space. Inside it, Journeys guide members toward a result through Milestones and Steps, Conversations let them talk with an AI trained on your material, and Offers control how people get in.

Every OBIE feature hangs off a handful of core ideas. Once these click, the rest of the product reads naturally.

AI Hub

Your branded home base — the site your members sign in to, at your own subdomain like yourname.obie.io (or your own custom domain). Everything below lives inside a hub, and you can run more than one hub if your plan allows.

Journeys

A journey is a guided path toward one meaningful outcome — a program, a course, an onboarding experience. Each journey stands on its own, and members move through it step by step.

Milestones and Steps

Milestones break a journey into phases that mark real progress. Steps are the individual actions inside a milestone — something to read, a set of questions to answer, or an AI-guided working session. Members complete steps, steps complete milestones, and milestones complete the journey.

Conversations

Open-ended AI chats, built from templates you control. Unlike a step, which has a defined finish line, a conversation is there whenever a member wants to think something through with an AI that knows your material.

Documents

Files you upload — frameworks, guides, transcripts — that your hub's AI can draw on when talking with members. This is how the AI answers in your voice, from your content, instead of giving generic advice.

Offers

How people get in. An offer bundles access and pricing together with the landing page that sells it — whether that's a paid program or a free opt-in.

Rename them if you like

Journeys, Milestones, Steps, and Conversations are just the default labels. You can rename them per hub in your hub settings — so your hub might say Phases, Modules, or Sessions instead. Help articles use the defaults.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rename Journeys, Milestones, and Steps to something else?
Yes. In your hub settings you can change the labels to anything that fits your program — Phases, Modules, Sessions, or whatever makes sense to your audience. Help articles use the defaults.
How many journeys can one hub have?
There's no hard limit on journeys per hub. Create as many as your program needs — each one is a separate guided path toward a specific outcome.
What's the difference between a Conversation and a Step?
A step has a defined finish line — the member completes it and moves on. A conversation is open-ended: the member can return to it anytime to think something through with the AI.
Where does the AI get its knowledge from?
From the Documents you upload to your hub — frameworks, guides, transcripts. The AI draws on that material so it answers in your voice, from your content, instead of giving generic advice.
