Move or Copy Journeys, Milestones, and Steps
Use **Move** to change an item's parent, or **Copy** to duplicate it and keep the original. After a move, OBIE flags Step context that may no longer be available in the new location.
A Journey can move or copy to another AI Hub in the same organization. A Milestone or Step can move or copy only within its current AI Hub.
Choose Move or Copy
- Move changes the item's parent. The original item, its content, and its associated user data move together.
- Copy creates a new item and leaves the original in place. The content structure is copied, but user responses and progress aren't.
A moved or copied item is added to the end of its new parent. Reorder it afterward if needed.
Where each item can go
- Journey: move it to another AI Hub in the same organization, or copy it to the current or another AI Hub.
- Milestone: move or copy it to any Journey in the same AI Hub.
- Step: move or copy it to any Milestone in the same AI Hub.
Only Journeys can go directly from one AI Hub to another.
Move or copy from the list
- Open the list that contains the Journey, Milestone, or Step.
- Open the item's ⋯ menu.
- Select Move or Copy.
- Choose the destination.
- Confirm the move or copy.
For a Journey, Move appears only when another AI Hub is available as a destination.
Move or copy in Canvas View
- Open the AI Hub and select Canvas View.
- Open the item's ⋯ menu.
- Select the matching Move to or Copy to option.
- Choose the destination and confirm.
You can also drag content onto a different parent in Canvas View. Use Undo if you need to reverse a change made there.
Review context after a move
Moving content within the same AI Hub keeps its Step context relationships. OBIE checks the new location and shows:
- Step context out of order when a Step uses context from a later Step in the same Journey.
- Check context availability when a Step uses context from a different Journey.
Expand Show details, then select Open context settings or Open deliverable settings to correct the relationship. You can also move the Step so its context comes first.
Moving a Journey to another AI Hub checks for Step context links that would cross the hub boundary. OBIE warns you and clears those links when you complete the move.
Copying one Step to a different Milestone clears that Step's context dependencies and visibility rules. Copying a whole Milestone or Journey keeps relationships among the content copied together.
Good to know
- Timeline Session Steps can't be moved or copied individually.
- Editors can move Milestones and Steps. Moving a Journey or copying any item requires an Org Admin or Manager role.
- A copy gets a new name that identifies it as a copy.
Confirm the result
Open the destination and confirm the item appears at the end of its new parent. For a copy, also confirm the original remains in place. Resolve any context warnings before publishing the changed content.

Reorder Journeys, Milestones, and Steps
Drag a Journey, Milestone, or Step in the list or Canvas View to change its order within the same parent. If the new order puts a Step before context it uses, OBIE flags the problem and links you to the settings that need attention.
