How to Delete an AI Hub

Deleting an AI Hub is permanent. It removes the hub, everything you built inside it, and everything your users produced inside it. There is no restore button and no support recovery. If you only want to take a hub offline, disable it instead — that keeps everything.

Before you delete

Ask whether you actually want the hub gone forever. Three softer options cover most reasons creators reach for Delete:

• Just taking it offline? Use Disable. Active user sessions end and nobody can get in until you re-enable it, but every journey, step, and user response stays exactly where it is.
• Just fixing the name or URL? Rename it. See How Do I Rename My AI Hub or Change Its URL?.
• Want a fresh start but keep the look? Duplicate the hub first, then delete the original.

If a custom domain is pointed at this hub and you want to use that domain somewhere else, disconnect it in Hub Settings → Custom Domain before you delete the hub.

Only Org Admins can delete an AI Hub. Managers and Editors can't.

Delete the hub

• Go to your hubs list and find the hub's card.
• Select the ⋮ menu on the card, then select Delete AI Hub (it's the red item at the bottom).
• Read the summary of what's about to be deleted. OBIE counts it live from your hub, so this is the real inventory, not a generic warning.
• Type the hub's exact name in the confirmation box. Use the small copy icon next to the name if you'd rather paste it.
• Select Delete Forever.

You can also do this from Canvas View: select the ⋮ on the hub card at the top of the canvas and choose Delete AI Hub. Same dialog, same confirmation.

What gets deleted with it

Everything under the hub goes at the same time. The confirmation dialog lists the actual counts for your hub, drawn from:

• Every journey, and every milestone, step, and question inside them
• Every user response — the answers your users typed and the outcomes the AI generated for them
• Milestone versions, including in-progress and completed work your users have saved
• Every conversation, conversation thread, and message, plus your conversation templates
• Uploaded documents and the knowledge built from them
• Your base prompts for that hub
• User access records — registrations and free passes for that hub

Your users are not deleted from your organization, and your other hubs are untouched. But every trace of their work *in this hub* is gone, and they lose access the moment you confirm.

This cannot be undone

Treat Delete Forever as final.

There is a narrow exception, and you shouldn't rely on it: immediately after deleting, while you are still on the same page, Cmd + Z (Ctrl + Z on Windows) undoes the delete. That undo history lives only in your browser tab and only for that page — reload, navigate away, or close the tab and it's gone. Shortly afterward the hub and everything under it are purged permanently.

So if you delete a hub by mistake, press Cmd + Z right then. Once you've left the page, the hub cannot be recovered by you, by your team, or by OBIE support.

A safe pattern for retiring a hub

If a hub has real users in it and you're not certain, do this instead of deleting:

• Disable the hub so nobody new can get in.
• Leave it disabled for a while — a month is a reasonable buffer — in case someone asks for their work.
• Delete it once you're confident nobody needs it.

Disabled hubs still count toward the hub limit on your plan, so if you're disabling one to make room for another, you will need to delete it (or upgrade) to free the slot.
