Invite Your Team and Set Their Permissions
Org Admins can invite teammates from the Team Members page. Each teammate gets one of four roles — Org Admin, Manager, Editor, or View Only — and receives an email to set up their password.
You don't have to run your hubs alone. Teammates get their own logins and work inside your organization with exactly the level of control you give them.
Add a team member
- Open Team Members under your account menu. (Only Org Admins can manage the team.)
- Select Add Team Member and enter their first name, last name, and email address.
- Choose a role — new teammates default to Editor — and submit.
Your teammate receives an email invitation with a link to set up their password. If they already have an OBIE account under that email, they're added directly and get a heads-up instead.
The four roles
- Org Admin — full control of the organization, including creating AI Hubs and managing the team.
- Manager — day-to-day hub management, without organization-level controls.
- Editor — creates and edits hub content. The default for new teammates.
- View Only — can see everything, change nothing. Good for stakeholders and reviewers.
Team seats by plan
Team seats vary by plan: Start includes none, Grow includes 2, Scale includes 3, and Pro is unlimited. When you're at your limit, the Add Team Member button is disabled with an upgrade prompt — the page header shows your seat count, like Team Members (2 of 3).
Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between a team member and a hub member?
- Team members are your collaborators — they log in to build and manage hubs. Hub members are your audience — they log in to work through journeys and talk to the AI.
- Can I change someone's role after inviting them?
- Yes. Open Team Members, find the person, and change their role. The change takes effect immediately.
- What if my teammate already has an OBIE account?
- They're added to your organization directly and get a notification email. They don't need to create a new account or set up a new password.
