Use Conversations in Your Hub

Building Your Hub

Manage your hub's conversation templates, customize the conversations page appearance, and control when conversations appear to members. Conversations have their own settings page for background, content, and visibility rules.

Once you've created conversation templates, there are several ways to manage how they appear and behave in your hub.

Manage your templates

From your hub's Conversations page, you can see all your templates, their status (draft or published), and take actions like editing or deleting. Select any template to open it and make changes.

Conversations page settings

Your hub's conversations page — the page members see when they browse available conversations — has its own settings. Access them from Conversations → Settings (the gear icon). These settings are separate from individual template settings:

  • Content — customize the heading and description shown on the conversations listing page.
  • Background — set a custom background for the conversations page (color, gradient, or image).
  • Visibility Rules — control when the entire conversations section appears to members. This gates the whole conversations area, not individual templates.

Individual template visibility

Each conversation template also has its own visibility rules, set from inside the template under the Visibility section in the sidebar. This lets you show different conversations to different members based on their progress, tags, offers, or dates.

Conversations and documents

The documents you attach to a conversation template determine what the AI knows during that conversation. If you want a conversation focused on one topic, attach only the relevant documents. The AI won't reference documents from other templates or steps unless you've attached them.

Conversations and prerequisites

Prerequisites ensure members have completed specific steps before a conversation becomes available. If a conversation requires foundational knowledge from your journey, set those steps as prerequisites so members arrive prepared.

Frequently asked questions

Can I customize the background for conversations?
Yes. The conversations page has its own background settings (color, gradient, or image), separate from your hub's background. Access them from Conversations → Settings.
What's the difference between page-level and template-level visibility?
Page-level visibility rules (in Conversations → Settings) control whether the entire conversations section is visible. Template-level visibility rules (inside each template) control whether that specific conversation appears. Both are optional.
Do documents carry over between conversations?
No. Each conversation template has its own set of attached documents. The AI only references the documents attached to the template the member is using.
