Resend a Welcome Email to an Existing User
You can resend a welcome email to any user from the Users page — open their menu, choose Welcome Email → Resend Welcome Email, and OBIE queues a fresh copy within seconds.
When you add someone to your hub you can send the welcome email right away — but sometimes a user misses it, deletes it, or joins before you're ready to send. You can resend the welcome email at any time from the hub's Users page without removing and re-adding the person.
How to resend
- Open your hub and go to the Users page.
- Find the user you want to resend to.
- Click the ⋮ (three-dot menu) on their row.
- Hover over Welcome Email to expand the submenu.
- Select Resend Welcome Email.
OBIE confirms with a "Welcome email queued to send again" notice. The user receives a fresh email with their login link and password-setup instructions.
Check send history first
Before resending, you can review every previous attempt. In the same Welcome Email submenu, select Send History. A dialog opens showing each send with its delivery status — Queued, Dispatched, Delivered, or Failed — and when it happened. You can also resend directly from this dialog using the Resend email button at the top.
Cooldown between resends
To prevent duplicate emails, OBIE enforces a 15-minute cooldown after each send. If the button is grayed out, a message tells you how many minutes remain. Wait for the cooldown to pass, then try again.
Frequently asked questions
- Does resending the welcome email reset the user's password?
- No. If the user already set up their password, resending the welcome email does not change it. They can still use their existing password to sign in.
- Why is the Welcome Email option missing from the menu?
- The Welcome Email submenu only appears for users with the user role. Team members invited through Account → Team do not receive hub welcome emails — they get a separate team invitation instead.
- Can I resend welcome emails in bulk?
- Not currently. Welcome emails are resent one user at a time from each user's menu on the Users page.
