Change Your Account Name or Organization Name

You can update your first name, last name, and organization name from Account → Account Settings. Your email address can only be changed by contacting support.
Your account has two types of names: your personal name (first and last) and your organization name. Both can be changed from the same page.
Update your name or organization name
- 1. Open Account from the sidebar or top navigation.
- 2. You'll land on the Account Settings page.
- 3. Edit the First Name, Last Name, or Organization Name fields.
- 4. Select Save.
Your changes take effect immediately.
About the email address field
Your email address is shown on the Account Settings page, but it cannot be changed from the app. If you need to update your email, contact OBIE support for assistance.
About the organization name
The Organization Name is the name of your workspace in OBIE. Only Org Admins can change it. Organization names must be unique — if the name you enter is already taken, you'll see an error. The name must be between 2 and 100 characters.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I change my email address?
- Not from the app. Email address changes require contacting OBIE support. The email field on your Account Settings page is read-only.
- Who can change the organization name?
- Only Org Admins can change the organization name. Team members with other roles will see the name but won't be able to edit it.
- Does changing my organization name affect my hub URLs?
- No. Your hub's address (subdomain or custom domain) is separate from your organization name. Changing the org name updates your workspace label but doesn't affect any URLs.
