Edit the Hero: Headline, Eyebrow, Media, and Button

Selling & Payments

Open your offer's Content tab and select Hero to edit the top of your page. You can change the eyebrow, headline, body text, call to action statement, button label, hero media, and the section's background color and light or dark look.

Open your offer, go to the Content tab, and select Hero. Its settings open in the sidebar, where you can edit the headline and button, add an image or video, and change how the section looks. You can also select the hero right on the page preview.

The hero is the first thing visitors see, so it's worth getting the headline and button right before anything else.

The text fields

  • Eyebrow (optional): a short line above the headline, like "Your next step" or "For small business owners."
  • Headline: the main promise of your offer.
  • Body text: a few sentences under the headline. This field supports basic formatting.
  • Call to action statement (optional): a short line that leads into the button.
  • Button label: the words on the button, like "Get instant access" or "Join free."

For example, Jennifer Walsh might use "Walsh Consulting Group" as the eyebrow, "Build a client pipeline you can count on" as the headline, and "Start the program" as the button label.

What the button does

On a paid offer, the button takes visitors down to the Offer section, where checkout lives. On a free offer, it opens your sign-up popup. You can't point the hero button somewhere else, but you can change its words with Button label. To change the popup's wording, see Customize the Free Sign-up Form and Popup.

While you're in the editor, the button doesn't start a real checkout or sign-up.

Add an image or video

Under Hero media (optional), choose Image or Video URL. For an image, upload an image file. For a video, paste a YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia link. Switching between image and video clears whatever you'd added before, so you start fresh. Leave it empty if you'd rather keep the hero text only.

Background and light or dark

At the bottom of the hero settings, Background color sets a color for just this section. Leave it empty to keep the page's default. Light / dark lets you choose Auto, Light, or Dark for this section, which is handy when you want a dark hero on an otherwise light page. Auto follows your page theme. Page-wide colors and fonts live on the Style tab; see Style Your Offer Page.

Extra heroes

You can add another Hero further down the page with Add section. It has the same fields, and unlike the first hero, it can be moved, hidden, or removed. See Add, Hide, Reorder, and Remove Offer Page Sections.

Your edits save to the draft as you type. Publish when you're ready for visitors to see them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a Loom or other video link?
The video field is built for YouTube, Vimeo, and Wistia links. Stick with one of those for the most reliable result.
Can I remove the hero?
The first hero always stays at the top of the page. You can edit any of its text and leave the optional fields blank. Extra heroes you add lower down can be removed.
Why doesn't the button work when I click it in the editor?
Buttons don't start sign-up or checkout in the editor or Preview. Use the live page to inspect where the button leads, without completing a sign-up or purchase unless you intend to.
