Disable Milestone Versioning
Building Your Hub
Turn off milestone versioning from the milestone's Settings → Versions page. Disabling it prevents members from creating new versions but preserves any existing versions they've already started.
If you enabled milestone versions and want to turn them off, you can do so from the milestone's settings. Disabling versioning doesn't delete existing versions — it just prevents members from creating new ones.
Disable versioning
- 1. Open the milestone you want to update.
- 2. Select Settings in the milestone navigation.
- 3. Select Versions from the settings sidebar.
- 4. Turn off the Enable Milestone versions toggle.
- 5. Save your changes.
What happens when you disable it
- Existing versions are preserved. Any versions members have already created — whether in progress or completed — remain intact. Members can still view and work in versions they've already started.
- New versions can't be created. Members will no longer see the option to create a new version of this milestone.
- You can re-enable it anytime. Turning versions back on restores the ability to create new versions. Existing versions continue from where they left off.
When to disable
Disable versioning if you originally turned it on but found it wasn't needed for your program — or if you only needed members to create versions during a specific time period and that window has passed.
Frequently asked questions
- Will disabling versioning delete my members' work?
- No. All existing versions — their answers, progress, and completion status — are preserved. Disabling only prevents creating new versions.
- Can I re-enable versioning later?
- Yes. You can turn it back on at any time from the same Settings → Versions page. All previously created versions will still be there.
